Blooper Nanny

The third, sculpture that I've been working on since I started my bunch in Westbank. I promised my mom that I'd make her something if she bought me some sculpey and what do ya know, she did.

Earlier this year, I gave her the Crowned Berserker. She loved it because it was a throwback to my early, original sculptures but it didn't last long. Her new boyfriend apparently dropped it and his tentacle arm is severed, smashed and as far as I'm concerned, unrepairable (at least for the time being). All that being said, it was kind of a coincidence that the next thing I gave her would be something less likely to be touched.

It's a wall piece of a Blooper and it's young blooping around in my mom's dining room. Let me tell you, the worst part of this was painting those damn green blocks. The dollar-store paintbrushes that I bought were crap and piece I used for a background isn't really meant to be painted on anyways. It was a real hassle but I think it turned out pretty damn good. My only issue with this thing is the inconsistent sizes, shapes and paint jobs of the baby Bloopers. That's the kind of thing that's pretty much inevitable when you're doing stuff by hand so I'm not too worried about it. She really likes it so that's all that matters, right?
